Degrassi: The Next Generation Contest Rules and Regulations No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win 1. To enter, Bell Mobility subscribers must successfully complete the "Degrassi: The Next Generation" game on the Mobile BrowserTM menu by correctly answering 5 questions. When you have successfully answered all 5 questions, you will be required to enter your name and cellular number; this will automatically generate one entry into the contest. Each additional time you successfully answer the 5 questions, you will receive one additional entry, up to a maximum of 3 per week. The contest runs from 7:00 p.m.. EST on November 18, 2001 to 6:59 p.m. EST on December 23, 2001 (the "Contest Closing Date"). To be eligible for a weekly prize draw as detailed in Section 3, all website entries must be received by 9:00 a.m. EST on November 25, December 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2001 (each such date being referred to herein as a "Weekly Draw Closing Date") in respect of the Week 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Draws, respectively, as detailed in Section 3 You may also enter the contest by submitting your name, phone number, and a handwritten (no photocopies will be accepted), 100-word essay about Bell Mobility to: Bell Mobility Degrassi Contest, 207 Queen's Quay West, Floor 6, Toronto, ON M5J 1A7. The quality and opinions expressed in the essay submission shall have no bearing on the eligibility of such submission. You may also obtain additional entries into the contest by submitting additional, original 100-word essays, as described above. Limit of one essay per envelope. To be eligible for a weekly prize draw as detailed in Section 3, all mail-in entries must be postmarked by the relevant Weekly Draw Closing Date and received on or before the seventh (7th) day following the relevant Weekly Draw Closing Date. 2. In total there will be one hundred (100) prizes awarded consisting of one (1) Degrassi Bell Quickchange card and one (1) Degrassi Slingbag. 20 prizes will be awarded weekly. Total approximate retail value of each prize is $25 CDN. Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or substituted for another prize, except at the sole discretion of Bell Mobility. 3. A random selection will be made at 11:00 a.m. EST on each of the following dates: Week 1 Draw - December 3, 2001; Week 2 Draw - December 10, 2001; Week 3 Draw - December 17, 2001; Week 4 Draw - December 24, 2001; Week 5 Draw - December 31, 2001at Sympatico-Lycos Inc, 207 Queen's Quay West, Toronto, ON from among all eligible Mobile Browser and mail-in entries received in accordance with Section 1. The selected entrants will be contacted by telephone by the contest organizers and notified of an opportunity to win a prize. In order to be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone by the contest organizers. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within ten (10) days of being selected or if, for any reason, the prize cannot be awarded, another entry will be randomly selected, and so on, until the prize has been awarded. The odds of being selected depend upon the total number of eligible entries received in accordance with Section 1. 4. To enter and be eligible to win, you must be a resident of Ontario and who is not an employee of, a member of the immediate family of or domiciled with an employee, of Bell Mobility, Bell Canada, Snap Media Corp, Epitome Pictures Inc., CTV Television Inc. (collectively the foregoing being referred to as the "Contest Sponsors") their affiliates, advertising and promotional. By entering, contestants agree to sign, if they are selected for the prize and in order to be declared a winner, standard forms of release and consent to the use of their names, addresses (city only), photographs, and voice and statements related to the prize, without compensation, in any publicity carried out by the Contest Sponsors. Entrants under the age of majority in Ontario are eligible to enter the contest and win prizes, provided that the parent or guardian of such entrant accepts any such prize for an on behalf of such entrant. 5. All entries are subject to verification by the contest organizers. All fraudulent entries or, in the case of entries without purchase, those that are illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, do not properly identify the contestant, are postmarked after the Contest Closing Date or received after December 31st, 2001 in accordance with Section 1 will be automatically rejected and will not be eligible for the weekly prize draw. The decisions taken by the contest organizers, particularly regarding the eligibility and/or rejection of an entry in this contest, are final and without possibility of appeal. 6. All entries become the property of Bell Mobility and none will be returned. Bell Mobility assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, destroyed or misdirected entries or for any software malfunctions of any kind or unavailable network, failed or incorrect communications caused by the sender or the equipment or programming. By entering, contestants also agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest organizer, which are final. 7. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. 8. By entering the contest, entrants agree to hold harmless Bell Mobility, CTV Television Inc. and their employees, affiliates, agents, and suppliers of prizes (the "Contest Sponsors"), from any and all liability for harm they may suffer as a result of participation in the contest, compliance with contest rules and acceptance and use of their prize. The Contest Sponsors shall not bear any liability arising from or in any way related to the contest or the prizes(s) awarded. 9. The Contest Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for tampering, theft, defects, viruses, human errors, including gross negligence, deletions, technical or telephone, computer line, network or software problems, undeliverable messages, computer errors, lost, misdirected, late or incomplete entries or inaccurate capture of information. 10. The official sponsor of this contest is Bell Mobility Cellular, Inc., 2920 Matheson Blvd. E., Mississauga, ON L4W 5J4. 11. For the purpose of these rules and regulations, the contestant is the person whose name appears on the Bell Mobility invoice on which the game was played, regardless of the person who played the game. It is this person who must answer the mathematical skill-testing question, sign the declaration and release form, and to whom the prize will be awarded, if the case arises. 12. Degrassi and related marks are trademarks of Playing With Time Inc. and/or Epitome Pictures Inc. and are used under licence. Other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
