Well, it looks like Degrassi: Next Class fans are finally getting some answers.
The Netflix show’s second season ended on a cliffhanger after a bus accident left the fates of a bunch of the school’s students’ (including Jonah, Zig, Tiny, Maya, Grace, and Tristan) fates in the air.
However, as the exclusive trailer (above) shows, while most of the in-peril characters suffered an injury or worse, they won’t be the only characters struggling. Many of their friends and family members will also be trying to work through the trauma of what happened, most notably Miles, whose boyfriend Tristan was caught in the crash.
And the bus crash isn’t the only drama people will be facing when the show returns, as it appears that Goldi (Soma Bhatia) will be trying to work through feeling different, and Yael and Hunter will also be dealing with some issues of their own.
But it won’t be all doom and gloom in Season 3. As EW previously announced, the current class of students will be welcoming two new faces, Saad Al’Maliki and Rasha Zuabi (played by Parham Rownaghi and Dalia Yegavian), two new students who are Syrian refugees.
Degrassi: Next Class premieres on Netflix on Jan. 6
